You think you ride your bike alot?
I know I just posted this exhaust recently, but I feel like I need to start a profile for John's 02 Sporty. John is a hard ridin s.o.b. and a pretty good wrench. This bike gets ridden to work daily and on long trips on a regular basis. Like most new motorcycle owners, he got this bike and started making it his own right away, but instead of bolting on a bunch of chrome covers and crap, made it more functional with his own brand of fashion. He brought it to me, the first time, to add a custom sissy bar that could carry all of his worldly possessions, and then some. This included: tall ass sissy bar, gas can rack, chopped rear fender, and relocate and wire new taillight and liscence plate. More recently, he had me make an exhaust that functioned and fashioned (scroll down a few posts). Future possibilities include: rake the neck, springer / girder front end, hardtail, drop seat, and ........? Like everyone's bike, it's a work in progress... that's just part of the game.

Man Bar
Spent some time in the shop recently with Argo and Jim. Mission: to make a sissy bar for his bike for the upcoming trip. I usually make them out of 5/8" cold rolled round solid, but through trial and error, have decided to use 3/4" on anything over 20" or so. The size and functionality of this piece made it go from a sissy bar to a "man bar". Action photos soon to come.
