Shriner's Swap Meet - Spring 2013
Got my "swap meet assault vehicle" ready to go.
Took a lil while, but someone did grab this. Must have been an offer they couldn't refuse.
This thing was built to last... real steel. I'm sure the "Space Rocket XS-17" has been responsible for several broken bones and flesh wounds. I'd rock it!
If it fit and the price was right....
The grounds in Lathrop, MO had several cool, old buildings, farm equipment, and random machinery.
I wanna own something with suicide doors someday.

Brillo Pics 1
These pics were sent to me by my buddy, Brillo. That's him in the first pic, taken in 1978, with his shovel, which he still has and it still looks just like that. He's my Dad's best friend and he has a lot of old pics of them and their buds on their bikes. I hope to post them soon. Here are some random older pics he sent me recently.

Swap Meet Season Is Upon Us, aka.... Spring Time!
Did more riding than working in the garage last week. The rain should reverse that trend this week.
I need that sign mounted in my driveway, pole and all.
Stopped in McClouth, KS for a minute. Saw this old building that reminded me of the rowdy lookin bars that are in the background of David Mann's pieces. I could picture this shack with a bunch of stretched out bikes out front, dudes with beards havin a good time, and maybe a chick gettin pissed at one of them. haha!
Got my "artsy fartsy" fill on this First Friday in the Crossroads District. I can appreciate some of it, but it's mostly stuff I could never see myself wanting to afford.
Big swap meet next Saturday... BOOM! Enough said.
"call her back and tell her she'd better have dinner on the table when I get home."

Pics This Week
Put some miles on the Shovel.
Did the Boulevard Brewery tour with fam and friends.
2 brand new front master cylinders later and still not right. Remember kids, "chrome don't get ya home."
Picked up the seats for the GS750 project. Stoked on the job the Interior Shop in downtown kcmo did. Also, fired it last night!
Bought this old ass taillight at a swap meet, years ago, for super cheap, with mount and plate. Opened it up last night and it had the "STOP" stencil inside. Cool! Gunna get it workin without destroying the natural patina. Might use it on my big bike when I give it an overhaul?
